Natalie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Expressive Arts Therapist and the Co-Founder of The Artful Life Counseling Center and Studio in Beverly, MA. Over the past 10 years, Natalie has worked for various human service agencies on the North Shore such as Children’s Friend and Family Services, Family Continuity, the North Shore Rape Crisis Center and HAWC providing counseling to children, families, adolescents and adults. She was also the Clinical Director of the Spotlight Program at the Northeast Arc.
As a therapist, she practices a person-centered approach and applies a range of techniques including verbal therapy, CBT, mindfulness, expressive arts therapy, and play therapy depending on a person's needs and preferences. She also believes building an authentic connection with clients allows them to feel more grounded, self-aware, and able to have deeper and more meaningful relationships with themselves and other people in their lives.
In addition to The Artful Life, Natalie is also an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department at Endicott College. She holds a Master’s Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. She is also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), The Incredible Years and RainbowDance. She is a Level One Certified Trauma-Informed Art Therapist and is currently pursuing training in EMDR.
