Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
At Changing Sails Therapy, we understand that the journey to seek and attain healthy relationships, joy, purpose, acceptance, peace, love (the list goes on...) is one that should not be traveled alone. As your therapists, we offer a supportive presence, walking alongside you as you explore, accept, challenge, change, and cope with the unexpected directions life may take. We provide individual and couples therapy, working with adolescents and adults.
Our practice is dedicated to supporting individuals and couples with anxiety and mood concerns, enhancing intimate and family relationships, guiding through major life transitions, and addressing issues rooted in systemic racial oppression, socioeconomic barriers, LGBTQIA+ concerns, complex family dynamics, diverse cultural backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, and more.
We create a safe and nurturing space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to make positive changes. By working together, we help clients gain insights into their behaviors and emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and build resilience. Our goal is to support clients in achieving a greater sense of balance, fulfillment, and overall well-being.
We are flexible in our approach and tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether clients prefer a more active listening approach or are seeking a sounding board for advice and direction, we adapt our methods to ensure they receive the support they need.
During our initial phone or email consultation, we are happy to answer any questions you may have about our therapy styles—whether it be Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Buddhist Philosophy, or other approaches
