Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
My practice focuses on working with individuals 18 years and older who have substance use dependency and addiction issues or if an individual's life has been deeply affected by addiction. My approach is primarily using motivational interviewing, narrative, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
In the past 9 years I have worked in a number of roles as a counselor or case manager including: a 6-month residential half-way house for women, a 40-bed detox men’s unit, a clinical stabilization co-ed and men’s, as well as in a 1:1 counseling setting. September 2021 I opened my private practice in Beverly at the Cummings Center.
I am a later-in-life graduate from Simmons University in Boston with a Master’s in Social Work focusing on interpersonal trauma and post-traumatic stress.
I understand, and have a passion for, the specific needs of our military & military families, veterans, law enforcement, & first responders.
