Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
I initially obtained my degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner from Yale University. As a pediatric nurse practitioner, I cared for patients in community-based, school-based, and college health care settings. There was a shortage of mental health provided in these settings and this inspired me to pursue further training as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (from Northeastern University).
In working with patients I use both cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. I would describe my style as curious, warm, and inviting. I enjoy learning about my patients but I am also practical and down to earth. While I am able to care for patients of all ages, I enjoy working with adolescents, college-aged, and young adult patients.
