Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
The transition to motherhood is a singular experience for each woman, yet universal. My goal is to help you navigate these uncharted waters and normalize unfamiliar feelings through empowerment, mindfulness, and CBT. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and have completed the Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders: Components of Care and the Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training through Postpartum Support International (PSI). I also work with women of all ages during any major life transition. You are the expert in your own life, and I am here to assist you through that journey.
In addition, I have worked for many years as a hospice social worker. I bring experience and compassion to your new family dynamic. I personally understand the feelings of grief/loss that can accompany new motherhood and other major life transitions. I can assist you in adjusting to your new life in a nonjudgmental way that fits your individual needs.
If you are experiencing difficulties in your identity and role as a mother, please know that you are not alone and I am here to support you during this journey. My areas of interest include Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders including Postpartum Depression and Birth Trauma, Pregnancy, and General Anxiety and Depression for women of all ages.
