Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
I am currently working per diem as a Bereavement Group Facilitator at CareDimensions, the oldest and largest nonprofit hospice and palliative care organization in Massachusetts. After over three decades I closed my private practice, but maintain my licensure. I've been a PPC member since soon after its inception. I also offer case consultation to licensed clinicians only.
For decades I paired empathic listening with collaborative problem-solving to help adults, couples and families utilize their strengths to overcome obstacles. A licensed psychologist, I offered psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, and professional case consultation to address mind-body health, relational and workplace issues, grief, loss, and life transitions. I also worked with those coping with physical illness, anxiety, depression, trauma, and parenting stressors.
My credentials include: a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University; a B.A. from Harvard University; an internship at McLean Hospital; and a post-doctoral fellowship at New England Memorial Hospital. I've held Certification in Hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, trained in the Program on Family, Trauma and Resilience at the Family Institute of Cambridge, and have facilitated workshops for those who've lost loved ones to suicide for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
