Short Bio or Description of your Practice (Optional)
As of Jan 2020 I have retired and closed my practice.
I will remain a member of the PPC for the near future.

I am a clinical psychologist who has specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies and Mind-Body/Wellness approaches since 1982. I have practiced on Boston's North Shore since 1987 and have maintained a private practice in this area since 1990.
I work with individuals and couples as a type of coach or teacher. My therapeutic approach is very active and goal-directed with focused listening. I want to help the clients I work with improve the overall quality of their life. I help clients see the inter-connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behavior helping them feel more hopeful in attaining mood and behavioral changes. Unproductive and unhealthy patterns become more apparent to the client which facilitates creation of a template for positive and productive change. To do this , I collaborate with clients on developing SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time limited) goals.
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1982. I completed a 2 year post-doc Fellowship in Behavioral Medicine @ Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School in July 1997. I was also a Clinical Instructor in The Behavioral Medicine Service @ Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School from 2001 to 2007.
